Breast Enlargement Faq

What benefits can I expect from Breast Enlargement?
Those who have experienced a small breast size their entire life or have at some point undergone sagging or loss of breast tissue as a result of breastfeeding/pregnancy or weight loss will see a increase in breast size as well as more desirable and rounded appearance in their breasts. On occasion, our patients may be more suited for a breast lift procedure for maximum results.
What size can I expect to be increased to?
On many occasions the surgeon will recommend an increase in cup size to at least 2 sizes, but case by case it may be different. Keep in mind your breast size can only be as large as medically possible. The surgeon will discuss options with you at your consultation appointment to assess the breast size you wish to achieve from the surgery.
Will my implants go under or over the muscle?
As a case by case decision, your surgeon will choose the positioning of the implant, depending on your physical characteristics for maximum results.
After my surgery will my breasts look and feel natural?
Yes, your breast will hold a natural look and feel once adequate time for healing has been allotted. For the first couple of weeks following your operation your breast enlargement surgery area will feel very firm and swollen, but once they have healed in entirety they will look and feel natural.
How much time do I need to set aside for recovery?
In most circumstances we will recommend a minimum of 7 -10 days to take off work and other duties. If your job and normal daily tasks require a lot of carrying and lifting you may be required to ask for more time. We provide printed medical excuses for your convenience.
Will I feel pain in my breasts after the surgery?
For many women, they describe the healing process as more of an uncomfortable experience than a painful one. You will feel an amount of soreness/tenderness after your Breast Augmentation as post-operative swelling and bruising is standard.
Is there someone on staff that would be able to give me insight on the procedure?
Yes, there are several members of our staff that have had breast enlargement procedures and various other cosmetic surgery treatments. Also we have many satisfied patients who would be happy to speak with you about their experience with our surgeons.
Are there any post-operative instructions that I will need to follow?
Yes, our Patient Care Coordinator is in charge of all post-operative instructions. You will also be given a free Patient Information Booklet at the time of your consultation. You may want to look into purchasing a post-surgical support bra . A supportive bra will speed recovery and offer relief from soreness.
