Dr. Michael Edwards

 

Dr. Edwards brings to bear both his artistic and scientific expertise for the restoration of youthful vitality and appearance of the Hospital Group cosmetic surgery patients.

A graduate of Yale University and Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Edwards also was awarded and completed the prestigious National Institutes of Health Medical Scientist Training Program with an advanced doctorate in Stem Cell Sciences and Human Genetics.

Dr. Edwards has received numerous medical awards including the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation Award for Excellence in the Area of Genetics and Birth Defects and the National Institutes of Health, The Molecular and Cellular Biology of Aging Training Fellowship.

Dr. Edwards has published numerous peer reviewed scientific publications in high impact journals and co-authored a wide array of Plastic Surgery chapters. Dr. Edwards worked voluntarily in South America performing free surgeries on deformed children and adults.

Dr. Edwards completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and has been extensively trained in the latest and most advanced techniques in Cosmetic Surgery having worked closely with Dr. Edward O. Terino over the past few years at the Plastic Surgery Institute of Southern California.
